ORTHOPEDIC AND RHEUMATOLOGICAL REHABILITATION
Orthopaedic rehabilitation aims to restore the function of the musculoskeletal system and vital activities lost as a result of accidents and diseases, as well as congenital and acquired lesions of the skeletal, articular and muscular systems. My centre is frequented by patients who have undergone various types of orthopaedic surgery, as well as those who wish to prepare for surgery as part of pre-operative rehabilitation - which significantly speeds up their subsequent recovery. If, on the other hand, the problem does not require surgery, I deal with conservative rehabilitation - the aim of which is first to relieve pain, and then to restore the muscular-fascial balance and preventive measures. Nevertheless, patients are more and more frequently visiting me for so-called physio- prevention. They want to get rid of the musculo-fascial tensions created during their daily routine/work. This helps to prevent the development of various orthopaedic complaints/pain conditions.
PEDIATRIC REHABILITATION
I also deal with the therapy and prevention of posture defects in children and adolescents at home, so that the younger child is able to perform them without problems after a therapy session alone or with the help of a parent in the comfort of their room. The coordinated exercises must be systematically repeated by the child and modified by the physiotherapist. For children with postural defects, manual muscle and fascial therapy as well as specialised kinesiotaping applications are additionally dedicated. A few visits are enough for the child to learn to perform the exercises correctly.
